You can study any kind of cuisine; there are programs available for Le Cordon Bleu, or any nationality of cookery. Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Indian and Malaysian are just five typical cuisines that you can take programs in. You may wish to study specific areas of cookery, for instance making sauces, or grilling and fried dishes; baking and patisserie or vegetarian cookery. Whatever the kind of cookery, you can find something that suits you.
You may see your culinary program as the introduction to a new career, in which case you will probably want to take a longer course in order to be able to acquire the basic skills and knowledge that will give you entry into the industry.
