Brown College
Program: In the Digital Electronics and Computer
Technology Certificate, students are prepared for entry-level
positions in many major fields of electronics such as computers,
communications, medical, audio systems, mailing systems and
aviation. Students are trained to diagnose and repair failed
equipment, learn surface mount soldering and learn the ability
to develop routine maintenance procedures to eliminate unnecessary
repairs. Even as the field of electronics becomes carefully
designed and technically perfected, there will still be equipment
failures requiring services of well-trained technicians. These
technicians must have the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary
to create a methodical plan of action to remedy electronic equipment
problems. The Electronics & Computer Technology curriculum prepares
students for entry-level positions in all aspects of the electronics
and computer industry.
